The pandemic has changed life and altered plans on a daily basis for many of us. While some winter activities may have been put on hold until next year, a little creativity is all it takes to make the most of our unique situation. Try these six tips to make your winter a little more magical.
GO SKIING. Get festive, stay local, and take a trip to the ski hills. MN has several destinations for you to choose from. MN Ski Resorts
MAKE HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS. Who knew this was a thing?!? With just a few supplies and a quick internet search, you’ll be enjoying this delicious social media trend in no time. You can make your own or buy them. Hot Chocolate Bombs
EMBRACE HYGGE. Pronounced hoo-ga, this Scandinavian word describes “a feeling of coziness” that is an essential approach to life during the winter. Not familiar with hygge? Read “The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living” to get started. You can find it on Amazon.
TAKE A HIKE. Winter is the best season to get outdoors and enjoy Minnesota’s many hiking trails.

TAKE AN ONLINE COOKING CLASS. What better time to learn a new recipe than when you are stuck indoors? The pandemic has created booming demand for online cooking demonstrations and interactive classes, including classes taught by celebrity chefs. (This I will leave up to you to research!!)
