Here it is already the first full week of March. This is the month that welcomes the start of Daylight Savings Time on March 12 and the First Day of Spring on March 20. Also a lot of our children are on Spring Break this month which means many families head to warmer climates to get away from the snow for the last time.
If you are one of the unfortunate ones that will be enduring the entire month of March at home in MN there are plenty of sports to keep one entertained. The NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament aka March Madness begins on Selection Sunday, March 12.The MN State High School League has a full calendar tournament schedule in March with boys hockey, boys and girls basketball, and more (mshsl.org/tournaments) still to be played this month. .
Of course, March 17th is Patrick's Day and it’s on a Friday this year!!! Minneapolis and St. Paul have a busy schedule of activities including the traditional parades. Check out St. Patrick Swayze’s Day at the Bauhaus Brew Labs ( Mpls St Pats Day Events). I like to think that March marks the end of winter for us as the days get longer. We can soon open up the windows and listen to the birds sing again!
