I want to pick up where I left off in December and continue to explain why owning a home is worth it. According to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) home prices have continued to increase over the last 5 years at an average of 57.4%. That sounds like a good investment to me. Secondly the FHFA has data to show that over a 30 year time span homes have appreciated at a national average of more than 320%.
